We were a family group of 14 including 6 children aged 3-11. Lori cooked for us three times and each of them was a delight. It was a pleasure to have a break from cooking and to enjoy such wonderful food. Some highlights were the delicious and refreshing melon soup, the melting asparagus mouse and the succulent duck a l’orange with dauphinoisse potatoes. The children were also thrilled with favourites such as meatballs and milkshakes and new tastes such as fish curry. If the children are happy the parents can relax and enjoy their evening and we certainly did. The food was wonderful, the kitchen was left spotless and Lori was delightful company. Thanks so much for the meatballs, they are the best meatballs and tomato sauce i have ever had ! also i loved the brownie sandwich, i do not normally like sandwiches. But a brownie sandwich with ice cream in the middle was amazing ! MY FAVOURITE DESSERT AND MAIN COURSE EVER !!! thanks so much !! I have had you alot and seen all the other lovely food the adults have had !! but i just always want the meatballs ! you should be my FULL TIME chef ! thanks again for the AMAZING food !!!

When I started planning the surprise birthday party for my husbands 50th, I knew the hardest part would be quite honestly perfect food for a very spoiled, too many cooks, foodie family – no problem getting everyone from San Francisco, NY, Philadelphia and Germany all together in Southern France or finding a nice place to stay for age 4 to 84….FOOD especially from the distance–and of course, keeping everything a secret from him.
When our family gets together, be it Christmas, holidays or any other time – it’s always winds up being all about togetherness….and food ! Through recommendations of the home owner and Helen, Oasis Foods, we then got Lori’s CV and quite honestly it was wow! at first site and it got even better.

We talked, planned (and conspired because of “the secret”) thru email and phone and I immediately felt comfortable and well taken care of…and that is not even getting to the fantastic dinner buffet and absolutely perfect breakfast brunch with a not so perfect in home kitchen. Quality absolute top notch, unparalleled freshness and I could (as the whole family is still doing) go on for hours about the amazing lemon chicken, the anchoiade, the Sicilian cheesecake with berries but now more importantly was meeting Lori and her husband that weekend.

She and her husband, Charles will go out of her way to make you feel comfortable, help in anyway – which she did quite successfully with this spoiled group of people, I am very glad that we met them…and wish they didn’t live so far away. She is quite honestly a fantastic cook, great hostess and very, very professional.

Thank you again for all your help in making our weekend and getting our holidays off to a perfect start, I hope we will meet up again soon and wish you and your family well. Christine Artze-July 2010

I am Italian and live part of the year in Valbonne, France. I had great pleasure in enjoying food prepared by Mrs. Lori Mazziotta Gardet when she was the Chef at the Restaurant Le Tennis du Vignal. She also came to my home and prepared fantastic meals for my friends and myself. Her touch for Mediterranean cuisine is buonisimo! The food was superb, her preparation and attention to detail are impeccable, and her delightful personality made each occasion memorable. I strongly recommend Mrs. Mazziotta Gardet and know you will be as happy as I have been.

I recently engaged the services of Mrs. Mazziotta-Gardet as a ‘chef à domicile’ for my birthday lunch for 17 friends and family at home and was highly satisfied with the experience of working with her.
Mrs. Mazziotta is a true professional from a – z: menu and budget planning, site visit, table decoration suggestions, the meal itself, serving and clearing up. She is extremely well organized and a very calm, relaxed person and we appreciated her flexibility in timings when guests came up with impromptu speeches and songs which could have severely impacted a chef’s planned schedule!
The food prepared and expertly served by Mrs. Mazziotta was of a very high standard and thoroughly enjoyed by all present, including another professional chef. In Novemeber 2009, I contacted Lori for a conference dinner at my home in Opio France. Lori cooked and served for 12 of my guests, all participants at the European Council of International Schools conference in Nice. The guests were International Educators from 6 differrent countries and are knowledeable about International cuisine.
The menu was excellent and well designed with our villa acommodation and amenities in mind. Lori is a superb cook and is able to listen to her customers and cater for their needs, at the same time making very appropriate suggestions for the diner.
Lori provided all the table service, arrived promptly and provided an excellent meal. In addition, Lori’s positive, humourous, out going personality made the entire event , from palnning to completion a great success.

In November 2009 I became ill with cancer and quite suddenly became for the most part, bedridden. My husband frequently travels with his job and therefore I was on my own. During this time I hired Lori to cook my meals. Respecting a very bland and strict dietary plan, Lori created meals that were not only nutritious, but creative and delicious – even with little appetite I looked forward to eating them.
I would encourage you to hire Lori for any type of event, big or small. She is always professional, efficient, prompt, and cheerful taking great pride in providing her clients with wonderful tasting food as well as efficient and professional service.

Over the five years in which I have known Lori, I have been amazed by her many qualities. These include a perfectionism and professionalism in both how she manages her work, and in the execution of the wide range of delicious recipes she produces. Lori loves Mediterranean cuisine, but also is enthusiastic to cook dishes from around the world, all of which are achieved with flair and authenticity. Her canapés are renowned! They are original in conception and taste fresh and vibrant, straight from the chef’s kitchen.

She is willing to take on any cooking brief, no matter how small or substantial, she will find a way to achieve the desired results. Whether it be a formal summer dinner party or a family lunch, Lori always has the right dish for the occasion – it ranges from, perhaps, slow cooked lamb to the freshest fish (and always the most tempting desserts) and everything is always cooked and presented perfectly. Lori has the loveliest personality, so working with her is also a pleasure.
